CLINTON, Tenn. -- Magna International Inc.'s Eagle Bend Manufacturing unit is planning a $64 million expansion of its Clinton plant over the next five years.
The move is expected to create 188 new jobs. Eagle Bend is an automotive parts supplier for manufacturers of cars and light trucks worldwide.
According to a news release from the state Department of Economic and Community Development, the Eagle Bend facility has operated in Anderson County since 1987 and employs more than 600 people.
The first phase of the expansion will begin this quarter.
Newly created jobs will include assembly, laser and press operators and maintenance.
Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam and Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bill Hagerty announced the expansion on Monday.
